A concert of contemplative songs about life and the life hereafter. The main work, "The Requiem," by John Rutter was completed in 1985 and utilizes texts from the Requiem Mass and the Book of Common Prayer. Written in remembrance of his father, its musical language is serene and soulful, speaking directly to the human heart.
