October 21, 2017 Simple Gifts: A Collaboration
Featuring Daniel Elder’s Three Nocturnes, and Aaron Copland’s Old American Songs, the WCU singers will collaborate with guest groups Lake Country Children’s Chorus and the New Berlin High School A Cappella Choir. These student partnerships are significant in meeting the WCU educational mission.
December 15 & 17, 2017 Choral Union Christmas
Our annual seasonal concert features favorite holiday numbers selected by the members of the WCU. We will perform this concert in two Waukesha area churches.
March 04, 2018 The Fred and Joann Portz Community Concert: Handel’s Messiah
Carrying on the tradition initiated by Fred and Joann Portz, long time members of the WCU, we again present this FREE performance in Waukesha’s gem of a performance space, Carroll University’s Shattuck Auditorium. WCU Singers join with community singers, soprano, alto, tenor and bass soloists, and a symphony orchestra to say thank you to the Waukesha community!
May 05, 2018 Girls’ Night Out – Featuring Female Composers
We close out the season with a selection of songs composed by Maddelena Casulana, Emma Lou Diemer, Fanny Hensel, Hildegard, Alice Parker, Rosephanye Powell, Joan Szymko, Paula Foley Tillen and Gwyneth Walker.
